International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected that Tanzania will grow into a $136 billion economy by 2028, occupying the apex of East Africa’s economic supremacy battle.
Further, IMF has said that East Africa’s largest economy, Kenya, will grow from $118.1 billion to $151 billion by 2028, a projection which reveals that Tanzania will outpace Kenya by its GDP growth in the subsequent years from 2023.
Nigeria remains the largest economy, boasting a GDP of $506.6 billion followed by South Africa ($399 billion), and Ethiopia ($156.1 billion).
