Uganda military court has slapped 32 Kenyans with 20 years jail term after pleading guilty to the possession of illegal firearms.
The northern Kenya herders were captured on Saturday and appeared before the military court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to the illegal possession of firearms.
“The 32, residents of Orum in Lodwar were arrested on April 8 following an operation by Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and police at Lokiriaut, Nadunget where 31 guns and 752 rounds of ammunition were recovered from Turkana pastoralists in Moroto District,” sources report.
