The Opposition has vowed to fight any efforts to retrench civil servants as it continues to castigate Kenya Kwanza government’s spending.
“No civil servant is going to be retrenched while [President] Ruto is busy hiring CASs [chief administrative secretaries] and other personnel the country doesn’t need. Not under our watch,” said National Assembly Leader of Minority, Opiyo Wandayi.
On April 8, Dr. David Ndii took to Twitter to announce plans to retrench civil servants in a post that read, “We could also retrench. That’s an option.”
